Back in the day, as a child growing up in Timberlake, Virginia, Jessica Johnson, at the age of ten, was a straight- A student.

Despite her parent's lack of education, being poor and struggling to make ends meet, Jessica continued to dream big and made a promise to herself that she was going to be highly successful and not have to live and struggle the way her parent's did. Fast forward a decade later, the small rural community in Timberlake, population of about thirteen-thousand, is growing and thriving

More and more people are relocating to the area, especially young, black and successful women because the cost of living is so much better and because they want a quieter, slower pace town to settle down in. Jessica Johnson is now among those successful women, on her way to becoming a highly successful architectural designer. Talented and ambitious among other things, Jessica is already making a name for herself at only twenty-six. But things in the peaceful town of Timberlake are about to take a turn for the worse. The crime and murder rate has been at its lowest compared to other nearby cities and towns until recently.
